In my nocturnal roamings a new scent is permeating the ground I cover. There have been faint traces of this in the past but now it seems to be growing more prevelent. It has a stronger odor of Conservatism than I have detected before. A larger and ever growing number of citizens seem to be fed up with the liberal, ultra socialist Democrat lunacy, now coming out of Washington, D. C., threatening to destroy this great nation. There is just as much disgust and loathing for what used to be viewed as a Conservative Republican Party. They are nothing now but weak willed, steamrolled over, kicked around wimps, without any backbone or fight in them at all. They have forgotten what is right and good for this country and who the vast majority of hardworking Americans are. Nor will these wimps counter back and defend vigorously against the deceptions, lies, backstabbing, low down trickery and outright blatant hypocrisy of the ultra liberal, socialist Democrat majority now running and ruining this nation.
A superb opportunity with a clear majority was given the Republicans in 2000 and again in 2004 to show strong leadership, smaller government, more self responsibility and less government interference in our daily lives. This should have been tied together with a strong fiscal policy curtailing massive out of control spending and Pork projects. A Republican president with a majority in the House and Senate...EUREKA....My dream since being able to cast my first ballot years ago but what an absolute disappointment and let down as the years went by.
A Presidency that was more liberal than conservative, illegal immigration friendly and amnesty for all, playing nicey, nice with the liberal Democrat street fighters while showing no strong leadership at all. Yes, he did the right thing in protecting our country from any more terrorist attacks after 9/11 and I will give him credit for that, otherwise a failing grade. A Congress that evidently thought they were elected to go on a frenzy of wasteful spending. This spree was unchecked by the Senate and George Bush had misplaced his veto pen across the aisle schmoozing with Ted Kennedy. Perhaps the thinking was that being more liberal and free wheeling with the taxpayers money, the citizens of this country would keep them in power since they were acting like liberal Democrats. WRONG! Has it not occured to them yet, after the last election and being soundly defeated, that is NOT WHAT they were sent to Washington to do? Evidently not! There continues to be a lack of strong leadership at all from the Republican Party, no policies, new ideas, na da, nothing.
They continue to be kicked around by the liberals in Washington like yard dogs with no fight at all and just like spineless Jellyfish. How disgusting.
This scent of Conservatism by the citizens seems to be growing stronger but to what conclusion or goal? A third party won't work and yet there is an ever growing frustration, if not pure hatred, for both political parties and the special interest groups influencing decisions that affect us all. The stench of MARXIST SOCIALISM now fouls the air from our present government and the blatant taking of more and more of our freedoms from us and dictacting how we live our lives is frightening.
The true, patriotic, God loving Americans in this country want a change back to the Conservative values that made this country strong and the envy of the world throughout history. It has been these values, our government's adherence to our Constitution and Bill of Rights along with our moral values, strength, strong leadership and respect for our religious beliefs that made this nation what it once was.
By returning to these Conservative values with strong leadership, strength, faith, and a belief that the majority of hard working people in this nation care deeply about what is happening now is the only way this once great nation will survive as we know it.
I continue to wander with my nose to the ground and hope the scent I detect grows ever stronger.
